Gareth Southgate is baffled that nobody has come in for his £6million-rated star, who’s been given Boro’s blessing to leave the Riverside to help balance the books.
The Turkey skipper, 27, is expected to move before Boro’s next home game and has been linked with Aston Villa or a return to Turkey.
Southgate has handled the situation better than most. When the Turk didn't show for any of the pre-season friendlies there was a call to dock his wages and cut off his nuts.
But Southgate put him on the transfer list (at Tuncay's request) and let the situation die down.
Now, if no-one makes a move (fingers crossed), we could be blessed with his presence for the rest of the season.
