Last season he went on loan to York City but only played two games.
The other player heading south is the 21 year-old defender Phil Gulliver, from Bishop Auckland. Phil did not make any Boro appearances but has started 25 games, on loan, for five other clubs over the last two seasons.
Eleven fo Bury, seven for Bournemouth, three for Scunthorpe and Blackpool and one for Carlisle.
