Transfer Window Signings Planned

"I know the positions we want to strengthen. When you have a wish-list, you know that the players you want only become available at a very late date," the Boro boss has told the Evening Gazette.

"We're getting out to watch as many matches as we can, so that when people do become available we know whether they're there for us. That will give us half a chance.

"But we can't sign players until clubs agree to release them.

"You want to try to change every aspect as much as you can. We're competing with the big boys in the transfer market and we'll have to be more creative.

"I've some idea of what I've got and we'll have to be creative, but we might have to raise some money. I'm comfortable with that.

"I know we've not got a lot to play with. That's why I'm bringing younger players through."
