The Yak appears to have gone AWOL

Despite reports to the contrary yesterday it now appears that Everton are still keen to sign the Nigerian.

It is rumoured that Boro are wanting £12m for Yakubu. Everton seemed unwilling to pay anywhere near this yesterday and were reported to be looking elsewhere.

Yakubu has not scored for Boro since February.

Reports suggest he missed training yesterday and that he did not turn up today.
