Team news: Boro v Fulham

Last updated : 19 November 2005 By Reggie Holdsworth
Schwarzer will be assessed by the Boro physio team after he returned from World Cup duties with a shoulder injury. Compatriot Brad Jones is atanding by as cover.

Viduka had a recurrence of an achilies injury and stayed behind in Australia to see a specialist, he may not return in time for Sunday's game.

There is also a doubt about Gaizka Mendieta with a calf injury, but Boro welcome captain Gareth Southgate back into the squad. If Ugo Ehiogu shakes off his groin injury it will cause a bit of a headache for Steve McClaren in defence.

Franck Queudrue, Chris Riggott and Matthew Bates have performed admirably, adapting to a three man defence, in the absence of Southgate and Ehiogu. If McClaren opts for his new 3-5-2 formation and everyone is fit, someone is going to miss out.

Fulham will be without the suspended Luis Boa Morte and the injured pair af Claus Jensen and Carlos Bocanegra are ruled out.

Boro from:
Schwarzer, Jones, Knight, Parnaby, Queudrue, Southgate, Ehiogu, Riggott, Bates, Pogatetz, Boateng, Mendieta, Rochemback, Morrison, Nemeth, Doriva, Johnson, Yakubu, Hasselbaink, Maccarone
