Taylor Wants Huth's Place!

Taylor made his first appearance in a Boro shirt for six weeks in Wednesday's 4-0 defeat at Tottenham after being sidelined with ankle ligament damage sustained in the fourth round win at Wolves.

Taylor was a half-time substitute for Robert Huth to combat the pace of Spurs right winger Aaron Lennon.

Taylor: "I will be over the moon if I can get my place back. It is a big game to come back into.

"We have shown by beating West Ham and Liverpool that we are not as in as bad form as we were.

"We have got some confidence back and hopefully Wednesday night was a blip.

"We were all buzzing after the Liverpool game but things like Spurs happen and you can't dwell on it.

"The game on Sunday is a distraction from the league which we can put to one side for a bit.

"We have got to play the teams around us in the league and if we beat them, we will be fine."
