Szil worth a start

The Slovakian has proved recently that he can score goals and must be set for a start against Manchester City.

He scored twice for Slovakia against Liechtenstein in a recent Euro 2004 qualifier and followed that by coming off the bench against West Brom to score Boro's third goal.

Joseph Desire-Job was poor against West Brom having lost his early season form. And in the absence of a not fully fit Michael Ricketts and inconsistent Massimo Maccarone, Szil should be given a start.

Otherwise the team will probably be unchanged: Schwarzer, Cooper, Ehiogu, Southgate, Queudrue, Greening, Geremi, Doriva, Juninho, Nemeth, Christie.
