Striker set to leave Middlesbrough

According to leedstoday.net Michael Ricketts is undergoing a medical today at Leeds United. Boro's £2.5m signing of the striker from Bolton has been a flop to say the least with Ricketts attempts being greeted with derision from a large number of Boro fans.

The bulky forward has picked up more yellow cards than he has scored goals for Middlesbrough. He has made 17 starts, come on as sub on 22 occasions and scored four goals.

This is in sharp contrast to his time at Bolton where he hit the net 45 times from 66 starts and 43 sub appearances.

His move to Leeds, should it come off, could well be part of a deal that sees Mark Viduka come to the Riverside.
