Mido will be sidelined for at least a fortnight after picking up an injury during training this week.
The Egyptian striker sustained a hamstring injury during training this week and will play no part in Boro's away game against Aston Villa today (Sunday)."Mido tore a hamstring muscle during Middlesbrough's training," Mido's brother Tamer Wasfi told FilGoal.
He will not be able to play against Aston Villa on Sunday.
"He will have a week of rest before entering rehabilitation the following week."
Mido had only recently returned to first team action after a spell on the sidelines with a groin injury.
