Strachan Formation Had Everyone Baffled!

Strachan brought in three new strikers and strengthened the defence, but it’s Boro’s midfield area which looks paper-thin.

He tried to put a bit of muscle in that department at Portman Road, but it didn't work.

Justin Hoyte played the first half in the centre of midfield, and looked like a fish out of water.

Strachan: “We tried Justin Hoyte out there in a practice game and it worked well. But the game passed him by on Saturday and when we moved him, he was much more effective for us.

“We were all over the place in the first half but we were strong in the second half and I was pleased with how the new players settled in.”
