Southgate Upbeat Despite Anfield Defeat

"We started very well and we knew that Liverpool had had a hard game through the week," the Boro boss said after the game at Anfield.

"We always knew we could cause them problems. It was a mad couple of minutes that turned the game, as I thought we were on top.

"We still have a lot of positives to take away from this game. We pushed them all the way for 90 minutes."
