"The players gave everything they could, but unfortunately, key events on the night went against us.
"The second goal, looking at the television pictures, I thought at the time it was a foul on Robert Huth by Viduka, but then TV confirmed it was also offside.
"The ball then dropped straight to their guy and he slipped, but the ball still ends up in the net. These are key things and unfortunately, they didn't go for us.
"In fact nothing seemed to go for us. We had problems beforehand, but we were determined to give our best and win the game.
"Now we have to deal with it and fight on."
