Southgate Plays Down Signing Reports

Stefan Tarkovic, sporting and technical director at Kosice, said on his club's official website last week that the attcking-midfielder will join Boro on a six-month loan deal during the January transfer window.

However, Southgate has played down this talk.:"It's something that we're looking at," the Boro boss has said.

"I think some of the reports are a bit premature.

"He's somebody we're having a look at and once we feel ready to take anything further we'll let everybody know."
