Southgate Happy - The Fans Were NOT!

Will he keep his job? On Saturday's showing ... should he?

Blackburn Rovers put us to the sword in the second half, and not many of the thousands who walked away early from the Riverside have confidence in a manager who seems to have run out of ideas.

Southgate: "Listen, it's not where we want to be, but how do we get ourselves out of it?

"We stand firm as a group, we work our socks off, we learn from when things don't go right.

"We are the youngest team in the league and we are going to make sure we get through this.

"We are going to learn a lot about ourselves - we are certainly learning a lot about other people as well - but they are a group that give me absolutely everything and on Saturday, in difficult circumstances, I was very pleased with what they did.

"Okay, we didn't get the result, we are not flowing going forward, but that's the nature of the position we are in.

"It was a very difficult place to play football, but they responded in the right way."
