Southgate - Boro Won't Rule Out Premiership Players!

Gareth Southgate: "It's still very early days and we are waiting for the transfer market to move into gear when people start returning from holiday.

"But we are focused on what we are looking for. The key element is that we bring in the right kind of character.

"Of course we want to bring in good players, but they have to have a hunger for the challenge of helping to mount a promotion bid.

"If they have experience of the league we are going into, then this will obviously help.

"But that doesn't mean we are ruling out signing Premier League players."
