Both Mark Schwarzer and Mark Viduka played ta vital part in the Aussies victory as they cancelled out Uruguay's first leg lead.

Viduka was involved in the only goal of the game after 35 minutes, scored by Parma's Marco Bresciano. Vids played in Harry Kewell and his mis-hit shot was finished off by Bresciano.

Australia backed by 80,000+ fans in the Telstra Stadium in Sydney failed to make home advantage count, and following extra time the game went to penalties.

Stand up Mark Schwarzer. The Boro keeper made two vital saves in Uruguay's first four penalties, as Viduka missed the Aussie's fourth. It was left for John Aloisi to score the all important goal, and send the crowd wild with delight.

The Socceroos are in the World Cup finals.
