The 29-year-old, who started his first game for Boro since February when we played Barnsley, admits to having harboured doubts over his career after two ankle ops.
As for promotion, he fears Newcastle and West Brom will take some catching.
Chris Riggott: “There were dark days, of course there were.
“There were days when you did question your future.
"But it felt fantastic to be playing again.
"It was a tremendous relief to get through the Barnsley game.
"On the evidence of that game we are looking at the play-offs at best.”
