On Tuesday night the Reserves maintained their unbeaten run when they beat Everton 3-1 at the Riverside.

Due to the current striker injury crisis Tom Craddock was not played in the game. However, his services were not really missed as his colleagues found the net in his absence.

John Johnson put Boro one up before the interval. They then added two more in the 10 minutes after the break, the first was an own goal after good work by Seb Hines and Ben Hutchinson.

The second came from an excellent Stephen Thompson volley.

Everton pulled one back with around 10 minutes to go and the Middlesbrough 'keeper Brad Jones had to go off injured after 88 minutes. As all three subs had already been used goal scorer Johnson ended the game between the posts.
