Reserves slip up

A first half blunder by David Knight in the Boro goal gifted Everton the points, after a poor clearance from a back pass the ball was intercepted by Christian Seargeant who made no mistake with the opportunity.

Tried as they might Boro could not keep up their impressive run going, Jonathan Franks came closest when he grazed the post midway through the second half.

The game did provide another useful workout for Malcolm Christie and Tony McMahon, who having been missing for most of the season.
