Boro fielded three trialists in a young side against West Brom at Central Avenue, including Tony McMahon, who played his first game since August.

West Brom took the lead with almost half an hour gone through Rob Earnshaw, but Boro earned a share of the points when Tom Watson, one of the trialists, equalised with 20 minutes remaining.

The Reserves are currently top of the Premiership Reserve League North, one point ahead of Manchester United, who have two games in hand.
