No Truth In Wheater Rumours!

Spurs planning a bid for Middlesbrough defender David Wheater? That's what the Sunday Mirror says today. Any truth in it? Not an ounce!

The Sunday Mirror says Wheater would increase Tottenham's defensive options.

There reason to believe they are backing the right horse: "Redknapp has Michael Dawson and Jonathan Woodgate injured while Ledley King is involved in a constant battle with a knee injury that has plagued him throughout his career."

But having signed Seb Bassong from the Magpies, Redknapp has himself played down the speculation.
