No rest for the Aussies

The Socceroos are taking part in the Asian Cup in July, hosted jointly by Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

They play against Iraq (8th), Oman (13th) and Thailand (16th) in the group stages of the 16-team tournament. The top two teams qualify for the quarter finals, with the final taking place in Jakarta on Sunday 29th July.

Boro's number two goalkeeper Jones has been selected for a friendly against Uruguay in Sydney on Saturday 2nd June, but Schwarzer and Viduka will be rested for the tournament.

Forward Dong-Gook Lee may also be involved if he is selected for the Koreans, who play Saudi Arabia (11th), Bahrain (15th) and Indonesia (18th).
