Newcastle game re-scheduled

The match scheduled for Saturday was postponed on Friday due to safety fears and the adverse weather conditions. The judgement angered the Newcastle boss Bobby Robson who questioned the decisions gehind the postponement.

With the re-scheduled game only four weeks away Boro will not gain form their injury situation, the game will come too soon for Juninho and Ugo Ehiogu, however Gareth Southgate will be available, as he was for the match on Saturday.

Boro will benefit from having their new signings available, Malcolm Christie and Chris Riggott from Derby, Michael Ricketts from Bolton and Doriva from Celta Viga were all signed after the 5.30pm transfer deadline.
