More Pressure On City Than Boro?

The 21-year-old started all three games and believes his partnership with Stewart Downing is showing real promise.

Adam Johnson: "I think it's the first time I've started three games in a row for Middlesbrough, that's been excellent for me and I've been delighted with the little run I've had and long may it continue.

"The games are coming now, which is fantastic for me, especially playing in the same team as Stewy.

"I was reasonably happy with my performance on Saturday and I think we can only go from strength to strength.

"They (Man City) lost on Saturday and it's going to be another relegation battle and another scrappy game.

"But I can see it being a lot more open because of the way City play. Hopefully we can go there and, like we have a few times this season, cause an upset.

"We've done it in a few away games in the past and I don't see any reason why we can't do it again.

"You could say there's more pressure on them, they've been trying to splash out on players and they'll be feeling the heat as well.

"If we can go there and sneak in the back door and come away with some points that would be excellent."
