More injury woe as Ehiogu is ruled out

Boro's injury list does not get any better as Ugo Ehiogu and Gianluca Festa join the injury list. Ehiogu picked up a groin injury last Saturday against Bolton and Festa is ruled out with a hamstring injury.

They join Alen Boksic, Mark Schwarzer, Phil Stamp and Szilard Nemeth who were all ruled out earlier in the week. Paul Ince will also miss the match through suspension.

Either Jason Gavin or Colin Cooper will replace Ehiogu at the back while Ince's place will probably be taken by Robbie Mustoe who didn't start last week against Bolton.

Up front Dean Windass is likely to partner Noel Whelan after scoring his sixth goal of the season for the reserves in midweek, although Hamilton Ricard may be prefered.

Whatever the line-up Boro will have their work cut out against an in-form United team.

With everyone expecting a comfortable win for United Boro have nothing to lose in going for it, as long as we score the winner in the dying minutes. Just ask Tottenham, Aston Villa and Southampton fans about scoring too early, the later the better.
