But ... Lee Miller reckons the old pals’ act of more Jocks in the team than English ... will help a new-look Boro to gel.
Lee Miller: “I know quite a few of the lads already and it’s the same for most of the other new players.
“I know Barry Robson and Scott McDonald from their time at Celtic, I know Josh Walker because he was at Aberdeen for a while, and I know Leroy Lita.
“It helps quite a bit when you know a few of the players already.
“In fact I think it’s good for all the players who have come in from up the road because everybody knows somebody and it will help us to settle in.
“The manager has seen me play before and knows what I am all about.
“That’s one of the reasons I was delighted to sign for Middlesbrough. I didn’t think twice when I was told they were in for me.
“I hope that I can repay the manager’s support and score goals.
“But my game isn’t just about scoring. There’s a lot more to my game. I want to score goals but I have to bring other people into play as well.”
