Mido Expected Back For City Clash

The Egyptian forward was left out of the squad that earned a 1-1 draw at Ewood Park at the weekend with a groin strain but is expected to return to the squad for the game against Mark Hughes' side at the Riverside on Wednesday evening.

"Mido felt some stiffness in his groin at Blackburn and so we decided not to risk him," Boro boss Gareth Southgate has said.

"There's a good chance he will be okay midweek.

"It makes a big difference to have players of this calibre available."
