Middlesbrough's tribute to Brian Clough

Last updated : 05 November 2004 By Reggie Holdsworth
The four options for the tribute, to be situated in Albert Park, were chosen at a recent meeting. The public are being asked to vote for their prefered choice via the Gazette's website. Already there is overwhelming support for one of the tributes.

The options are:
1. A statue of Cloughie seated on a bench
2. A memorial garden
3. A statue of Cloughie walking with boots over his shoulder
4. A memorial wall

Currently option 3 has over 85% of the vote, so I would hazard a guess to say it will win. If you would like to vote visit the icTeesside website.

Donations can be made by sending a cheque, payable to the Brian Clough Memorial Fund (Middlesbrough), to Brian Clough Memorial Fund, PO Box 99, Civic Centre, Middlesbrough, TS1 2QQ.
