Four players have been told that they need to look elsewhere to further their careers. The high number of good future prospects in the victorious FA Youth Cup winning squad mean that some older players must go so that the younger ones can be given their chance to progress.

The most experienced departee is David Murphy. The 20 year-old had 16 appearances for Boro these included six starts and 10 games coming on from the bench.

The other three leaving are Craig Dove (20), Sam Russell (21) and Phil Gulliver (21)
