Middlesbrough: Reiziger closer to first team return

The former Barcelona defender played the full 90 minutes for the reserves last night in Telford. It was his first 90 minutes since the opening game of the season against Newcastle.

The Dutch international still has some way to go before he pushes young Tony McMahon for the right back position, so it could be two or three weeks before we see Reiziger on the team sheet again.

Szilard Nemeth also used the reserve game to get back to match fitness after his absence from the first team, the minute or so he got against Liverpool was not worth taking his tracksuit off for.

For the record the game against Wolves ended 0-0, however it was not a dull game as the score suggests. There was chances at both ends, the game just lacked goals.
