Espen Berntsen has been refereeing in Norway for nearly ten years and was promoted to the FIFA list in 2002. He has officiated in numerous UEFA games, including two Newcastle games, over the past three seasons. He has also officiated in a number of internationals games.
The assistant referees and the fourth official are also from Norway.
