Mark Halsey (Lancashire)
b. 8/7/1961

Mr Halsey takes charge of just his second Boro game of the season, the first being on the opening day of the season, at the Riverside, against Liverpool.

On that occasion he booked five players and sent off Ugo Ehiogu, but Boro hung on to earn a 0-0 draw. In total this season he has officiated in 37 games, booking just 53 and sending off six players.

He has been refereeing since 1989 and was promoted to the Premier League list in 1999. Promotion to the FIFA list followed just a year later in 2000 and he refereed his first full international in 2004.
