Andre Marriner (West Midlands)
b. 1/1/1971

Mr Marriner officiates for the first time at the Riverside, indeed it his first ever Boro game.

At 35-years-old he is one of the younger referees on the circuit today and as such he is fairly inexperienced at this level, having refereed just six Premier League games before.

He refereed the Conference Play-off Final in 2003 and was appointed to the Football League list in the same year. He handled a few Premier League games last season and has done the same this season. His bread and butter is still the Football League.

Last season he officiated in a total of 37 games, booking 80 players and sending off 10. So far this season, in 15 games, he has booked 49 players and sent off 6.
