Alan Wiley (Staffordshire)
b. 27/5/1960

Mr Wiley has been refereeing in the Football League since 1995 and was promoted to the Premier League list in 1999. To date he has officiated in over 130 Premier League games and was the referee in charge of the 2002 Community Shield between Arsenal and Liverpool.

Last season he was in charge of 32 games during which he flashed the yellow card 78 times and the red card 5 times. So far this season he has shown the yellow card 36 times and the red card 3 times, in 12 games.

Dare I say it, but the last time he was in charge at the Riverside was the corresponding fixture last season when United won 2-0.
