Yuri Baskakov (Russia)

The Russian referee makes his second visit to the Riverside, having officiated in Boro's 2-0 triumph over Lazio in last seasons UEFA Cup group stage. On that occasion he was not required to book a single player.
He has been refereeing on the European and international stage for eight years and has officiated in dozens of games at this level. In the five games that he has been in charge this season he has booked 15 players and sent one off.
His assistants are are fellow Russians Aleksei Monakhov and Tikhon Kalugin, while Igor Zakharov is the fourth official.
