This will be Mr Gallagher's first Boro game of the season, having been booked for Boro's trip to Birmingham, he was replaced late in the day by Phil Dowd.

At 48 years-old Dermot is one of the old-timers and has been on the Premier League list since it's first season in 1992. He was appointed to the FIFA list in 1994 and has refereed a number of European and World Cup games.

The highlight of his career will be the FA Cup Final in 1996 between Manchester United and Liverpool.

Last season he officiated in 36 games handing out 80 yellow cards and 5 red. This included three Boro games, Fulham (a), Everton (h) and Tottenham (h), in which he booked 8 players.

This season so far he has officiated in 24 games, booking 61 players and sending off 6.
