He remained on the coaching staff until Robson's departure in June 2001, but returned in April 2008 as a scout.
As a player, McQueen listed Manchester United and Leeds United among his clubs, and retired aged 33 in 1985.
The Scotland international earned 30 caps for his country, and was named in the squads for both 1978 and 1982 World Cup finals.
