Steve McClaren has confirmed that Sven Goran Eriksson has been in contact to see if the Boro boss could cover for Kidd.
Kidd may not be well enough to make Euro 2004 after recent surgery for prostate cancer.
McClaren planned to be at the tournament anyway. Hopefully getting us a new striker!
