McClaren Sacked

Along with assistant coach Terry Venables, the former Boro manager has paid the price for England's failure to qualify for Euro 2008 following the 3-2 defeat against Croatia on Wednesday night.

"It is a sad day to have been relieved of my duties but I understand the decision of the FA.

"I have huge disappointment for the nation and fans. But I will learn from my failure," said McClaren.
