McClaren in England four?

The FA's chief executive Brian Barwick will announce the four managers at an FA board meeting this afternoon, but he is not expected to make the announcement public.

The four names believed to be in the frame are Steve McClaren, Martin O'Neill, Sam Allardyce and Alan Curbishley. They have been selected form a list of eight or nine candidates, which also included Stuart Pearce, Guus Hiddink and Fabio Capello.
