Boro Reserves finished ninth in their league after their victory in the final game of the season against Leeds.
Boro took the lead in the first 20 minutes with a header from a corner by Gulliver. They added the second a few minutes later with Liddle going on a long run and slotting home.
Leeds pulled one back on the hour but the Teesiders held on to their one goal lead.
