Gareth Southgate is keen to tie England U21 ace Johnson down on fresh terms, as his current deal is set to expire next summer.
Keith Lamb: "We certainly don't want Adam, or any of our other good young players, to leave.
"The reality is that we have been talking to Adam and his parents over a new contract for six months and more.
"I can't guarantee that he is going to stay. What I can guarantee is that we will do our very best to get him to stay."
