Is Southgate The Stability We Need?

Last updated : 01 June 2009 By Boro Mad
Not many Boro fans are happy to see Steve Gibson stand by a manager who was lacking in judgement and ideas last season, and perhaps we should join our North-East rivals and have a change?

Looking up the road ... there is plenty of action as Newcastle and Sunderland try and patch up what has gone wrong ... while we seem to accept the hand we've been dealt?

Is that good or bad?

Sunderland are not lining up former Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini as their new manager, according to reports.

It is Steve Bruce, though, who is the front-runner to succeed Sbragia, who only took over from Roy Keane in December.

Wigan have confirmed they will not stand in the way of Bruce providing Sunderland pay £3million in compensation.

Newcastle are up for sale AGAIN as Mike Ashley dithers on whether to jump ship or go down with the crew.

Alan Shearer is staying ... or going ... depending on what newspaper you read.

It's all action ... everywhere but at the Riverside.
