International call-ups

Mark Schwarzer has been called up for Australia's friendly against Kuwait in Kuwait City on Wednesday 6th September. Mark Viduka is not included having retired from international football.

Yakubu has been recalled to the Nigerian squad for their African Nations Cup qualifier against the Republic of Niger in Abuja on Saturday 2nd September.

The Boro striker had been out of favour with the national coach after snubbing his country earlier this year, to play for Boro in vital games, rather than attending a training camp ahead of the African Nations Cup finals.

Stewart Downing has been selected for England's two Euro 2008 qualifiers against Andorra and Macedonia.

The Andorra game takes place at Old Trafford on Saturday 2nd September with the Macedonia game taking place in Skopje four days later on Wednesday 6th September.



Andrew Taylor has been selected for the England U-21 squad to play Switzerland on Wednesday 6th September in Luzern.

It's a crucial game for the Young Lions who started their three-team European Championships qualifying group by drawing against Moldova.

England must win the group to progress to a two-leg play-off, to qualify for next summers European Championship finals in Holland.
