Ince and Mustoe to go?

Reports in the press recently have suggested that there has been little or no further dialogue between the club and Ince. The two parties are some distance apart in agreeing a new deal and a number of clubs have been monitoring the situation, including Manchester City and Everton.

Robbie Mustoe has been offered a one year deal but is unhappy and could take up an offer from Derby County who have apparently offered him a two year deal.

The latest reports have claimed that Boro would try to use Mustoe as part of an exchange deal, which would see Malcolm Christie moving to the Riverside. This seems highly unlikely as Derby can sign Mustoe for nothing anyway, once his current contract expires at the end of the month.

There has still been no official word from Boro regarding the transfer of Massimo Maccarone from Italian club Empoli. It is believed that Boro are waiting for some paperwork from Empoli before thay can finally rubberstamp the £8.5m deal and announce it to the fans.
