But the former Chelsea defender says it could be the springboard to launch his season.

Robert Huth: "It was mint to be back, I wasn't actually going to play but we had a few injuries.

"It's good to get the first game out of the way and I hope I can play many more before the end of the season.

"I think I got dragged in a bit too far, I don't know whether I got a touch on the ball, but it was a bad position.

"We had a plan from the start, obviously that got shattered when we went 1-0 down, but we kept going, trying to do the right thing and we got the goal back."

"They had some opportunities to score and we should have had a penalty so I think 1-1 is a fair result."
