Liverpool were accused of 'tapping up' Ziege who moved from Boro to Liverpool for £5.5m after spending just one season at the Riverside. Boro were unhappy about the procedings and complained to the Premier League.

Boro chief executive, Keith Lamb, said today "We have been informed that the case brought against Liverpool and Christian Ziege following his transfer in August 2000 will be heard by a Premier League commission in March."
