Geordies in Turmoil

I had a wry smile on my face this morning when the news of Sir Bobby's sacking was released.

The internal bickering at the club has come to a head as the Geordies languish just above the relegation zone, with only two points from their first four games.

The incidents of recent weeks will not have helped his five year stint at the club. The spat with Kieran Dyer, the selling of Boro-born Jonathan Woodgate and the dropping of Alan Shearer have all added to the demise of the former England manager.

Rumours were circulating the pubs of Teesside on Saturday. The top rumour was that Robson would be on his way if they lost at Villa, with Shearer and Peter Beardsley taking over until the end of the season.

The news finishes off a fine weekend, Boro winning, the Geordies losing and then the sacking. Come on Boro.
