Boro's Andrew Taylor played in all the games in the Tournament and David Wheater, James Morrison and Tony McMahon all gained valuable experience and must now be looking to further their careers by pushing for a first team place this season.
Not an easy task given that Boro took a 23 man squad to play friendlies in Portugal while they were absent.
