Nick Barmby: "You sign a contract and then get your head down and try to earn another contract. That is how it works in football.

"It is not a problem to me, I will keep my head down, keep working hard and keep in the first team.

"It's up to the club, not up to me. I'm sure the club will say something one way or the other, so it's not a problem."
